Praise for The 40-Year-Old Vegan

“Curious would-be vegans and vegetarians will find the duo’s advice, meal plan, and case studies to be both informative and encouraging. This is the perfect primer for those curious about transitioning to a meatless diet without investing too much time or moneyThis is the perfect primer for those curious about transitioning to a meatless diet without investing too much time or money.” – Publisher’s Weekly

“There comes a point when you realize you potentially have less time left on this planet than what you’ve already lived. You start hearing about friends who’ve gotten some horrible disease or just look like they’re dying. The fear of death seizes you and you finally ask yourself the most important question: how can I optimize my health to prolong my life and avoid heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, or some other devastating fate? Good news! This book contains the answer. There is no sacrifice involved. Just a switch in attitude accompanied by a lifestyle change. It’s that simple.”

– Jane Velez-Mitchell, Founder/editor of JaneUnChained.com

“Whatever age you are, once you open The 40-Year-Old Vegan your health can transform in ways you may not have previously imagined. Author Sandra Sellani writes with a blend of passion and compassion as she shares her culinary vision leading to better health, a better world, and a better life for the animals we share our planet with. I not only enjoyed Sandra’s personal insights but also felt a bit like Pavlov’s dog upon seeing the Sellani sisters’ mouth-watering recipes. I look forward to recommending this book to my patients whether they are forty, fifty, or eighty.”

– Carlyn Montes De Oca, L.A.c, M.T.O.M., Author, Dog as my Doctor, Cat as My Nurse,  Speaker, Plant-based Nutritional Consultant author.

“The 40-Year-Old Vegan is the culmination of Sandra and Susan’s lifetime of comfort-food cooking with a vegan twist. Sandra introduced the first Meatless Monday event in the city of Long Beach, California at my restaurant and proved how delicious and accessible vegan food can be.”

—Michael Neufeld, restaurant owner, Gaslamp Music + Bar + Kitchen

“The message of The 40-Year-Old Vegan is close to my heart. I recognize that all animals feel. I love them and defend them. I know that the meat industry is destroying the world and I know that it is not healthy to eat animal products. That’s why I am vegan, because it is the least I can do.”

—Ricardo Pimentel Cordero, founder, Tierra de Animales
